It all started one fateful summer day 2 years ago when Chuck and I found ourselves taking care of 2 wonderful chinchillas, Emerson and Ellie... we had no idea then what was in store for us.

The one's who started it all...
The DAY we were moving out of our apartment, Ellie surprised us all when she popped out her first baby- we didn't even know she was pregnant! We named the baby girl Eden. D.O.B.-August 14th, 2007.

Well time flew by, as it seems to have a way of doing, and before we knew it, Eden was as big as poppa bean! We didn't know at the time some of her growth was due to the two babies she was about to have!
The Henry/McLaughlin Chinchilla Clan!
Now, Ellie (big momma) has always been quite large and in charge, but she too had been growing quite a bit, so we suspected she may have gotten pregnant again. Then low and behold, on the night of the lunar eclipse Ellie had two twin girls. We named them Luna and Liadian (irish for 'grey lady'). D.O.B-Febuary 20th 2008.
One day shy of a month exactly after Ellie had her babies, Eden had a set of twins as well. Eli (boy) and Emily. We have been so very blessed and love every single one of them with all our hearts, although we've had to rehome the babies due to lack of space, we'll never forget a any one of them. Chinchys have offically stole my heart.
