Adobo is considered the national dish of the Philippines. This dish consists of chunks of chicken or pork or both cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaf, lots of garlic and whole peppercorns. The stew is allowed to cook until the meats are tender and the remaining sacue slightly thickened.

Pork Dinuguan-This dish is so named bacause the sauce is made with the blood of a freshly-slaughtered pig

The 5 peso note depicts Emilio Aguinaldo, a Philippine resistance hero who first fought the Spanish, and later the American occupiers of the country. The first president of the Philippines. On the reverse you can see the proclamation of Philippine independence, from the balcony of Aguinaldo's house. You won't find this note much in circulation today, as it has been replaced by a 5 peso coin.

The 20 peso note depicts Manuel L. Quezon. On the reverse you can see the Presidential Palace, the Malakaang.

The Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall (Building code: A; also known as GenEd Building or "A" Building) is a 20 storey academic complex designed by Philip H. Recto Architects for De La Salle University-Manila. It is located on a 1,700-square-meter lot between Taft Avenue and Fidel Reyes St. and in front of the Enrique M. Razon Sports Center. Rising to a height of 90 meters, it is said to be the highest educational structure in the Philippines.[1] The building houses the General Education Department, the College of Education and the Asia-Pacific Center for Teachers’ Education and Development (ACTED). The building was formerly referred to as the GE/CED/ACTED Building before being named in honor of Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC on September 28, 2005. The building was formally inaugurated on March 1, 2007 in celebration of Br. Andrew's 67th birthday.
