Libertarian Party
Ideological: Political party based on a particular set of beliefs. (Comprehensive view of social, economic, and political matters). Single Issue: Political party that concentrates on a single, public policy issue. Economic: Political parties rooted in periods of economic discontent. Splinter: Political party that has split away from a major party.
~Minor parties arise when a group of people believe that the major two parties have become unresponsive to their needs. -minor party ideas are taken by the major parties. -minor parties have a difficult time electing expreinced candidates because these people are loyal to one of the two major parties. -federal laws make it difficult for minor parties to receive funding.

-The Libertarian Party was established on December 11, 1971 by a group of activists in Colorado. -3rd largest in US -Individual right are key.

Natural resources should be used and the earth should be kept clean.
Abortion should be decided by the individual.
Gov't. should not control energy pricing or production.
