Commander in Chief was the most important role in history. The presidents in the past played a major role in the armed forces. Most of them even served in a war or two. They established a much more personal relationship with the citizens and recieved much more respect because of what they did. They proved to the people their leadership skills were very solid and this went along with why they were elected in the first place.
Chief Diplomat is the most important role for the present day. America must be capable of making allies and staying a super power. The United States has gotten a bad rap in the past from other nations. We must keep a positive image and ignore the complaints of the U.S. being too concerned with new technologies and worry about our nation getting along with others.
