Before
After
These pictures were taken about 10 minutes apart. I was visiting the Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany during one of my vacations. I was 10 years old and did not know what the Holocaust was. In the first picture I just thought we were in another museum with antique furniture. So I was smiling and having a blast. The next picture was taken after the tour guide explained the rooms and after my dad explained the Holocaust to me. I realized then that the camp was not like the other museums I had recently visited. This is an example of Piaget's assimilation.
