The temperate deciduous forest biome occupies most of the eastern part of the United States and a small strip of southern Ontario. Precipitation varies from 28 inches per year in the northwestern section of the biome to 60 inches per year in the southeastern part; in most areas the precipitation is distributed evenly throughout the year. Frost occurs throughout the biome, and summer and winter are distinct season
some plnts and trees in the decidous forest are:puffed musroms you can find this plant almost in every forests and you can eat this plant,american beech is a plant that has nuts that fall to the ground & are edible for both humns & and animals,the nuts are really nutrisious & can provide protein,the shagbark hickory is another nut-producing trees i the wilderness.the flowers grow in cluters on these plants in decidous forest & the nuts fall to the ground when ready to eat. :)
