Cholera
Cholera is a bacterial disease, although it does not have extremely harsh symptoms they may lead to severe dehydration and death. The bacteria lives in the intestines thus causes digestive tract distress. The symptoms of Cholera include watery diarrhea and in most cases vomiting. The most beneficial way to treat Cholera is to ingest alot of liquids due to the potential dehydration, tetracycline and other antibiotics will reduce the duration of symptoms. Cholera is a disease that is transmitted by the eating or drinking of food and water contaminated by the waste of an infected person. The best way to prevent Cholera is to never eat uncooked or drink untreated water in foreign countries. Cholera is a bacterial toxin with a crystalline structure. Its vibrio consists of Gram-negative straight and curved rods which classifies it as a bacilli bacteria. This bacteria moves by a single flagellum.
