Trapped in a cage of fear Unable to breathe The closed bars shut her out Screams are faint Tears are unheard She sits in a cage of fear Wanting to be free Wanting to love again She tries to get out But fear once more brings her back Like a dead puppet She sits in the dark Waiting to escape.
