Emily Dickinson was born on 10 December 1830 in Amherst, in western Massachusetts, and died there on May 15, 1886. Emily had an older ,brother and a younger sister. Emil.y took care of her parents and lived in the 'family house' for the rest of her life. She nor her sister ever married.
