After the Cambodian Genocide occured, a total of 2,000,000 people were murdered.
This is a map of where the Cambodian Genocide occured
Pol Pot , pictured , was the leader of the communist movement known as the Khmer Rouge. Millions of Cambodians accustomed to city life were now forced into slave labor in Pol Pot's killing fields where they soon began dying from overwork, malnutrition and disease, on a diet of one tin of rice (180 grams) per person every two days.

During the Genocide, many people stayed in the huge Angkor Wat temples in order to stay protected from the Khmer Rouge. (You can see bullet holes it the building)
