They met in the middle of a flooded street, it was mid-February. School was out because of the cold and the wet. Ice forming was an issue that made driving treacherous for busses and drivers. She, a girl with a history. He, a boy who's family owned a farm market in town, just down the street from their school. They liked eachother, and would exchange small smiles and blushes when their eyes met.
He was her whole world. her solid, stable reality. She was the hole in his arms. She could run to him for anything. Day or night. He wanted to shelter her. She hurt. He helped. I love you. I love you too.
