Pontiac's Rebellion
indians to go to war against the British.
The French and Indian War started in 1754.
The result was that the French won. Pontiac was disappointed and sadly died in 1769.

Pontiac made his famous speech in 1766.
Pontiac became a symbol of American Indian resistance in Ohio.
In 1766 Pontiac agreed to a peace treaty.
If Pontiac didn't convince the other Indians to go to war the Britsh would still be in Ohio.

If Pontiac didn't start his rebellion the British colonists wouldn't want to live in Ohio.
But the British said to the colonists that you weren't allowed to go west of the Appalation Mountains.
But George Rogers Clark and the colonists came to Ohio and Ohio came a free state.
