When she was little, her favorite things were: her dog, color pencils, romance movies, and music. Ellen Schreiber attended a local university majoring in theatre. She spent the summer in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. After London, she lived in Chicago for five years studying at Second City Training Center where she performed improv, Shakespeare, comedies, and dramas. Then she sang and danced on a cruise boat on Lake Michigan! She performed there for two years, doing stand-up comedy, before she began writing.
Vampire Kisses
"I want a relationship I can finally sink ym teeth into." -Alexander Sterling
Funky Facts: Q: Do you believe in vampires? A: No, but then again, I'm not sure I haven't dated a few. :) Q: Are the stories in the mange different from the movies? A: Yes. same characters, but linear stories. You don't have to wait to finish the novels before reading the manga. They can be read at the same time without any confusion. And you'll get to meet Claude, Alexander's sexy and menacing cousin. Q: Why do the books take so long to come out? Can you write faster? A: I do write fast! But there are a lot of behind the scenes goings on that the reader doesn't see. First they are in hardback and HarperCollins (publisher) want these books to come out once a year. There are fabulous editors, copyeditors, cover designers and they all need time to get their part done. So you can see it takes a while to publish them. Q: Since you were an actress, is Aunt Libby based on you? A: No, she's actually a combo of ym Aunt Esther and my long time friend in Chiago. Everyone should have an Aunt Esther. She's really loving and kind and loves girl talk. My friend in Chicago is a totally hippie-girl. I think she's Jim Morrison reincarnated.
