S he loved music. Drama started at an early age. She trained to be a well mannered ladie that can take care of children and run a household.
Julia did not recive the same education or persanal freedom given to boys Julia was also traned to be well manered as a young girl.
In the early 1862 Juilia wrote and published a poem in the litery maganzie ''Atlantic monthay''
Achievements She made the battle hymn or the republic the stirring song that became the union anthem during the Civil War. She accomplished many things as a writer, lecturer, abolitionist, and promoter of woman’s rights.

Julia was born May 27, 1819, in New York City. She died in October of 1910 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Julia was the third of six children born to the wealthy banker Samuel Ward and his wife Julia Ward. She also had six children.
Julia has done many things in her life such as; she helped organize the New England Woman’s Club, focused on educating woman so that they can speak in public with out being frightened.
In 1861 she wrote a poem set to the tune of' John brown’s body, that made her one of the most celebrated American woman of her era. She also published a book of poetry '' Passion flowers'' It was also published in 1853.
Some of the jobs she had during the Civil War were, for a year taking over the management of an abolitionist magazine called Common Wealth.
