The jobs of the black troops were to build Railroad tracks, Forts, Harvest crops, and they preferred mother camp chores, also the black troops were not allowed to carry weapons. p .54
The battles of Fort Wagner and Important Dates were July 18-1863 and January 1863.
The Blacks in the confederate Army were slave servants laborers and the Army never enlisted them as combate troops. Also the Blacks never aficialy fought.
The Impotant dates were March 1865 and the Congress act to enlist blacks as soldiers.
The Emancipation Proclomation act of 1863 was when they freed the slaves and Black soldiers were recuited from the south.
The 54th Massachusetts Regiment was that they refused to pay and one black soldier got kicked out and killed because he did not obey the rules. and the battles that they were famouse for was the battle in massachusetts.
The Emancipation Proclomation act of 1863 was also when the blacks were comanded by the White officers. Also the blacks were paid half of what they would get paid if they were white and the whites got paid seven dollars.
The numbers and Union was that 180000 Blacks served and 37300 black troops lost there lives..
Benjamin I Butler's had the first black troop and was Louisaina Native Gaurd.
The Civil war and number of people who joined was that 180000 African Americans Joined the Civil War.
The Civil war and Reconstruction of 1867-1877 was that Licon's Emancipation proclomation was imortant because they whanted to free the slaves in Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland and Missouri which had not seceded from the USA.
