Sinking By: Lizzie Machabeli And so my head lies on his chest. Knowing that this feeling will last. I can hear his heart, beating at a rhythm that's almost harmonic. He strokes my hair as I lay there listening, breathing, and feeling. There's a sinking feeling. My head is slowly dropping. I open my eyes, put my head up, and realize. The realization that hurts so unbelievably bad, knowing that he's not here. So I frown at the thought and the pain that has traveled through my body. I put my head down on my pillow, only to know that my head will start to sink and my dream will be on repeat. I lay there hoping to never wake up, to stay in my world of fantasy. *But my dreams go unnoticed. Only for now.* -An Original <3
