How the moon affects the tides For the first term we have been reasearching about how the moon affects the heights of the tides. We found out that the tide was at the heighest when it was waxing crecsent. The height of the tid was 2.55m. The lowest tide was 0.2m this was during the first quarter. We saw that some people had different recordings because there is 3 days of each phase. Tides are important for sea creatures because if a fish breathes under water and it's to shallow the fish might die. Some sea creatures need tides so they can swim from a low tide to a high tide wear there food is to eat.
