If a woman (usely elderly) is convicted of being a witch she does the 'swimming' test. She gets tied up and thrown into a pond that has been blessed by the priest. If she floats the pure water doesn't want her and so therfore she must be a witch and will get hung. However if she sinks she is not a witch and the pure water wants her and she is innocent, yet dead! So either way she dies! So if you have seen anyone that you think could be a witch please report to the Witch catching agency on 03458 697321
Here are some things that some witches did: Mother Samuel-She was accused of putting a spell on 2 children and they started having fits. Someone tryed to cut her hair and then she pulled away. Margaret Harket- She begged for things from people and they all refused however each of them in turn suffered the consequences. She was thought to have been heard muttering something under her breath.
Please help us catch these witches!
