To factor ANY trinomaril, use these three basic steps!
1)Write trinomial in descending powers of 1 variable.
2) Factor out any GCF
3) If the remaining trinomial is second degree, factor using the ac method.
Here are 4 steps to help you understant the ac method better!
1)- BEFORE you do anything- PUT THE TRINOMIAL IN THE FORM AX2+BX+C. Then find the product of the A and C variables
2.) Systematically list all of the possible pairs of Factors of the ac until you find one that ADDS up to B.
3) Split the middle term of the trinomial using the pair of factors as coeffficiants.
4) Factor By Grouping!!!!!

Inside the parenthesis, we have 2 perfect cubes. So now we factor the cubes. We do this by adding the the terms x+1- then multiplying the remainder
In this equation, you can also write x6 and (x3)2.. Now we have a perfect square trinomial.
Now you have a difference of 2 squares
We see from the first 3 terms that we have a perfect square trinomial, then 361b2 is also a perfect square.
