Term one-school goal I want to get more involved in sports and activities in and outside of school. This includes responsibilities such as head girl, counciller, lunch monitor, eg.
Term One-home goal I would like to learn how to speak a few words in Spanish, and spell them correctly.
Goals and reflections
At the start of every term my class and I were required to make two goals. One, is an academic goal to do with school like, to improve in my maths, while the other can be more personal-to stop biting my nails or to tidy my room. These are my goals I have set myself and the reflection I have made at the end of the term.
Evaluation of Term one school goal My aim was to learn, write and pronounce basic words in Spanish. I have never been good at learning new languages because they all get muddled and I end up speaking a mix of Maori, French, Spanish and English, also known as Gobbledy Gook! To achieve this an overcome any barriers I may come up against, I did a small amount of revision at home and gave the lessons my fullest attention. I tried my absolute best in all areas of Spanish and can proudly say I remembered 90% of the words. The only problems were that we didn't have enough lessons (due to other subjects taking over) and I still managed to stand up in front of the class, talking in French instead. Overall, I think it was a successful effort on my behalf, and I have decided to carry on with Spanish at college.
Evaluation of Tem one home goal My intention was to get involved in as many responsibilities and activities as is humanely possible. I, personally think I suceeded in this goal. I didn't get as many responsibilities at school as I would have liked, but I overcame that and joint a few sports teams and had lots of fun! This goal was the hardest of the two because I am certainly NOT an early morning person and neither is my mum. Getting up early to attend soccer matches was not the top of the agenda! Also, most teams and events are not cheap, so this had to be considered when choosing activities. Luckily, I am in to sport so mum was happy to pay up! Another successful goal this term, although it took a lot of hard work!
