Story of A Girl Mountains crumbling to the ground, And the tallest mountain is not as tall. You could climb it in a day’s time. The love you felt is not as strong, And the passion’s not as bright. Like a candle’s unsteady flame, You fear love being blown out. Fluttering away like a dainty butterfly, But with less graceful beauty. The sun won’t shine, But it’s not like there’s much to see. The girl sitting alone, No fairy tale story to tell. Crumbled pieces of her perfect scenery, Lying all around. And the mountain’s only a hill, But she has no time to climb it. And as the butterfly flies away, As the small flame goes out. She kisses it all with a soft goodbye, And she falls asleep. -Lorin Rae
