How
And McFly Fans Are Represented
Mcfly fans are labelled as 'Uncool' & as 'Teenies'
McFLY as a band at the start were given stick and constant bashing for being “Busted Wannabe’s” which wasn’t true at all. They were nothing like Busted apart from they were all best friends and supported them on tour. Mcfly are represented as a teenie pop boy band by the media, which degrades them so much that people are afraid to say they’re fans or avoid listening to them at all and giving them a chance. As a Mcfly fan we are represented along with the band, which means we are seen as screaming 12 year olds who only like the band for their looks, which is a complete false statement to make. Most McFLY fans have grown up with McFLY and we have matured to appreciate the music, lyrics and the band itself rather than their looks and attractiveness… even if that is a bonus. –Lorna Davis-
In Estonia where I live, people I know, know them as a British band who I love, but usually as a boy band who sing 'she looked incredible, just turned 17' (That Girl-McFLY lyrics) –Greta-
Mcfly are labelled as a band for young teenage girls when that’s really not true because the majority of fans have grown up with them over the last few years and so are pretty much adults. –xjennax
I think McFLY fans are represented really badly, I feel like because we like a band with 4 boys in it we are accused of liking them just for their looks, which in my case, isn’t the case. –Emma Absalom-
People say McFLY fans have no music taste?!
