Simple Meditation in just 10 Steps!

4. Set a time for yourself and stick to it.

9. Assume a passive attitude. Don't worry about how well you're doing. When other thoughts come to mind, dismiss them.

5. Pick a focus word or phrase (one you strongly believe in)

8. Breath slowly and naturally, repeating your focus word/phrase silently.

6. Close your eyes

* How to Relax your Muscles Starting with your forehead, begin to be aware of the tension you have when you breathe out. Let it all go. Go through the rest of your body in the same way with your eyes, jaws, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, chest, upper back, middle back, lower back, belly, thighs, calves, and feet.

10. Continue for 10-20 min. After you finish, sit quietly for a minute or so, at first with your eyes closed but then with your eyes open. Do not stand for 1-2 min.
