What I'm Thinking About
I've also been thinking about how, once people like one of the more thought-to-be-out-casted-but-completely-loved (Like, say, Emo, Punk, or Alternative) genres of music, they get pretty much completely sucked into it, and dislike every other type of music. Then they call people like me, who aren't afraid to say that they don't follow a real social pattern and are proud to say that I like the Jonas Brothers, Three Days Grace, and probably have more random soundtracks from random musicals you've probably never even heard of on my iPod. They call us posers!
Because, the truth is, you will always care about what people think of you, even if its subconsciously. It's human nature. Heck, it's just freakin' amazing. The reason the baby giraffe walks is 'cause it wants to make it's momma proud, the reason the reason the male peacock spreads its feathers is so the female peacock will come and admire them. The reason the flowers blum is so everyone can enjoy their beauty. Don't you dare say you don't want or need companionship, friendship. You do. That's right; I'm telling you right now, you need friendship. You want someone to understand your problems, be there when you cry, care about your worries and love you even though your different then everyone else, because of that, even. You don't have to admit to it, just... know. That someone cares. Someone always cares. You might just not have found them yet.
How Counting Crows is so much better then, say, Britney Spears and should not be put on the same level as her.
So branch out. Breath. Because your only human
(I mean, really, have you heard their cover of Big Yellow Taxi?! They R-O-C-K) .
(Like J-Pop ;D) .
What. The. FUCK?! Just cause we dress the same way, doesn't mean we want to be punk, or emo, or goth, it just means that we are comfortable with who we are, how we dress, and are just trying to express ours selves in a way that everyone can tell who we are, or how we think, in a way that doesn't make random people on street have to read our latest poem, hear our latest song, or see our latest piece of art work, just to see how our mind works, in one quick glance.
(Even though they say they don't, Goths still were dark clothes and hate preps, Punks are still... well, punks, and Emos still write depressing poetry and whine about everything.)
(Don't you dare say I don't know what I'm talking about; if I haven't already gone through these fazes, I have friends who have, and I love them, and could never hurt them)
(I'm also proud to say that I like most of my favorite anime character's voice actors best while they're singing)
