Broken and divided for reasons unknown, Screaming and crying just to find a way home. Shamed and disgraced by life's ugly little lies And somehow holding up the weight of this disguise. Hiding and hiding the fears within Refusing to confide in any friends. These aches and pains haunt our lives But they don't go away and people don't realize That months pass by and the aches don't fade. They just get stronger every day. Until finally the end comes into sight So we just keep holding on in this endless fight. The darkness can't go on forever, you see? But the light at the end seems to disagree, Fading away as it slowly draws near- The darkness prevails and the light disappears.
