The reason I selected this picture is because it shows the the main idea, which is Greasers and Socs fighting to save Ponyboy. The importance of the Chapter to the book is that it shows the Greasers and Socs lifestyle and differences. Also, shows how the Socs enjoy jumping Greasers. That is why I selected this picture for Chapter 1.
