My Culture
Gets up, stands infront of the mirror, smiles at the girl looking back at her, Approves the head to toe Topshop outfit she got just days ago, But it's nearly out of fashion already so she calls her friends, grabs her phone, And they hit the town Manufactured vintage hangs around her neck, As she steps out into the big wide world, Every fashion magazine around is sqeezed into her handbag Along with a music magazine - just for the look Mirrors cross her as she walks down the street A clone of every other girl she meets Dressed to impress Dressed to be the best She's Miss Individual - just like the rest Early evening stood outside the venue doors She doesn't like the band but she knows the type of fans Stand at the back of the room, Doesn't want to mess her hair up she spent two hours on it Just safely nods along in time Looks around the room knows where each outfits from and what it's worth Laughs silently at the messed up make-up of the girl at the front The girl she secretly aspires to be, the real Miss Individual Or just another product of the tree of false identity?
