The rapidly growing automobile industry led by Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company produced new and better models every year in the 1920's. Increased wages and lower cost vehicles through mass production made cars increasingly affordable. It seemed that every one had an automobile, when only years earlier, it was a luxury only the wealthy enjoyed.
The Automobile in the 1920's
Few Industries have had a greater inpact on the United States than the invention of the automobile. The invention of the automobile brought about many changes in the 19th century.
The assembly line works like this: 1.- A product moves along a conveyor belt that is lined with workers. 2.- Eachworker performs a single operation. 3.- By the time the product reaches the end of the line, it has undergone many different operations and is completed.
Henry Ford 1863- 1947 Known as the father of the modern internal combustion engine. He founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903, and revolutionized the manufacturing process when he introduced the assembly line.
Although The Ford Model T was the only car produced by the ford motor Company, there were several styles of the Model T.
