Conclusion: In conclusion Ithink this book is awesome. I cant wait to read the next book of the ''Kane Chronicles''. This book taught me alot about egyptian culture adn their gods. I hope Carter find the real Zia. Who has the 2nd book? C:
Theme: When Carter and Sadie Kane set off to save their dad they just plan on killing Set. They don't realize the real danger until it's almost too late. Bast ,the cat goddes and their guardian, is actually Ra's, the sun god, servant who is supposed to fight Apophis, sanke of chaos even greater than Set, for all eternity. But now that she left her post Apophis is trying to create ultimate chaos. Set is just a smell part of his plans. Apophis is who Cater and Sadie are really fighting even though they don't know it. In the end Sadie banishes Apophis back to the Duat adn gets Set under her control, but it's just a matter of time before Apophis rematerializes and tries harder than ever to create eternal chaos.
Characters: In this book there are two protagonists, a pair of siblings called Carter and Sadie Kane. In the beginning their father tires to '' make things right '' by realeasing Osiris, the egyptian god of the dead, but he ends up releasing all five from the Duat. In the process he becomes Osiris' host and gets imprisone by Set.Carter and Sadie didn't know yet, but they had become host for Isis and Horus. THey are determined to save their father and kill Set. The House of Life tries to stop them because they are opposed to interaction with the gods, but they are no match for Carter and Sadie.
