Edgar Allen Poe
Edgar Allen Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in Boston, Massachucets . He was an American poet and writer and a literary critic that had an important part in the Romantic Era.

Edgar Allen Poe married his 13 year old cousin named Virginia Clemm Poe. They did not have children because of her early death which gave inspiration to some of his poems.
Edgar Allen Poe wrote many famous poems such as Al Aaraf, Annabel Lee, The city in the Sea, and Dream.

Poe became well known when he recieved and award in October of 1833. He later became hired by the literary messenger where he began publishing poems and other short stories. Later on his own magazine known as the Stylus launched.
