Book Review! Yay!
Summary! This book is about four kids named Kate, Constance, Sticky, and Reynie who take a test when they see an article in the newspaper saying Are You A Gifted Child Looking For Special Opportunities? Then faster than you can say 'Cookies, Ice Cream, and Fudge Topped Biscuits' the unlikely friends find themselves as secret agents, going on the mission to save the world! Or, the people in it at least. But anyways, they go on a perilous journey to a school across the block, and foil the villain's evil plan to make everyone in the world happy by brainwashing them and then reprograming the people and children of the world! Yay Mysterious Benedict Society! They win the battle after about getting brain washed! Woo-hoo!
In my opinion, this is an outstanding book. It has action, adventure, and meaning. My favorite part was when Kate is running away from the Executives and trying to get to the control room at the top of the Institute. The funniest part was at the end of the book when the Mysterious Benedict Society finds out that Constance is only two years old. The boring part was when the kids where taking classes (other than the part when they cheat to help Constance and Kate become Messengers), anyways, I think I have given to much away from the story already...hmmm. Well, if you want to find out about what happens in the story, look at the summary! P.S., there is good word choice, voice, and description. Thanx for reading! Peace Out! :)
Visualizing I could really see the book in real life, like I could imagine Kate, the giant twelve-year old who ran away to join the circus at five, and carries around an emergency bucket. I could picture Sticky (George Washington is his real name) wearing a sweater and round glasses, staying up 'till morning reading in his bed with a flashlight. I could also visualize the moment when the kids overthrow the evil Mr. Curtain, who falls alsleep when he is angry (hehe) and ya, I think you get the picture, get it? Picture! Haha!
I think that the test was really important because if they hadn't taken the test, Mr. Benedict would not know if they would prevent the messages from entering their mind. Plus, he wouldn't know that Constance doesn't like to work and writes 'meaningful' poetry, like the poem 'Rules and Schools are Tools for Fools'
I am Constance the great two year old girl!
I am Reynie. I am a smarty pants and everyone looks up to me! Yay !
