Tupperware Party!!
Started selling in late 1940's
Earl Tupper was looking for the perfect plastic for years. In 1942 he had found it. It was the perfect material for the household product. He began by making bathroom drinking glasses in an assortment of rainbow colors, and then moved onto making his famous lidded bowls. Originally Earl Tupper’s’ creations were sold in retail stores, but he had another plan in mind. In the late 1940’s, Stanley Home Products were selling lots of various home products, and Tupper wanted to add his products in the line. They began offering Tupperware as part of the product line, and sold enough to get people’s attention. The Stanley Home Products business expanded, and started hosting Tupperware selling parties. The home parties were the exclusive place to buy Tupperware products. Whenever Americans moved, and every year more and more people moved, they would always find a Tupperware party nearby.
