I watered you with the watering can I touched your petals with my hand Why little flower do you leave I don’t understand Patel by Patel you fall a part Just yesterday you did bloom and start Why do you die did something stop your heart. Why my little flower do you grow old I wish I could keep you in a pages fold Leaving your imprint on a story untold Why do you lose your heavenly scent? I want to know where your beauty went Why do you leave did you not pay your rent Why do you wither and fall and die Why do your petals now cry? Do you go on forever bloom in the sky? Are you just going though a faze Maybe the seasons cased you this craze Will I save you if I put you in a vase? I didn’t put you in a bouquet I won’t pick you if you promise to stay Please little flower don’t go away. Then my little flower started to say For others to come I must go away But I’ll always be the flower of yesterday
