Manatee's Why you need to help!
Manatee's are slow-moving marine mammles that live in shallow streams and lakes,. They are herbivores and eat plants. Manatees love to play, and are a very social marine mammle. They are spootted while whale watching or just fishing, and bring a smile to the peoples faces. But, unfortuneltly, they are endangered and there are only a couple thousand left of this amazing species.
What happens if you dont help, and how you can help
This is what happens if you dont help. Since manatees swim close to the surface, fishing boats with fan motors with no cover on them, scracth them. These scraches are what scar them, and what is part of the reason their disapearing. The other part is polution. But we can help these things. If you know someone whose fishing boat is not manatee-safe then please tell them.
