You at this age of 11 or 12 should be getting 3-4 cups of milk, or milk products like cheese, 1-2 grain products eg. 1 bagel and Oatmeal, 5-10 servings of veggies or fruit like having a bowl of broccoli and carrots or simpley grap a banana or an apple, and 2-3 meat servings a day such as fish or chicken.

Its always important to live a healthy lifesyle. One way that you could stay healthy and fit is by exersising. If you don't like those exersise routines though you could play sports like soccer to get active in a fun way! This can improve your energy because it could help you stay fit!
You should never try smoking because it smells bad, does your body no good, and leaves your wallet empty! Smoking can damage your phisical health so if you play sports it may mean you won't be able to catch up to your other non-smoking team mates. The affects of smoking are horrendous and it also does no good to your apperance. For example your finger nails go yellow from holding the cigarett, your breath smells bad 24/7, your teeth start to look like their rotting and the list goes on and on. If you start smoking it could lead to a higher risk of Lung Cancer. Here's a fact that will be sure to get you away from smoking. Did you know that every 60 seconds someone in the world dies because of smoking!
Getting enough sleep can be easy if you have a routine. Most kids dont get enough sleep because there playing video games or somehting. Then they say 'oh come on just let me beat the level ' , but then that level turns into beating the whole game and by the time they stop its two in the morning on a school night! Sleep is important because it gives your body down time or a rest period from your day. When your awake people are usually moving around and they run around, play sports ect. But after you have been doing all these activities your body needs down time and this down time is sleep. for kids between the age of 9 and 12 they should be getting 9.5 hours of sleep minimum. If you get a fewer number of hours sleeping then the next day you will feel phisicaly exasted and/or cranky. Heres a fact that might get you to bed faster. Did you know that if you don't get enough sleep the growth of your immune system will get affected!
Having family to support you in your life is important for many reasons. Family will help you through rough times which could lead to you getting out of drugs and such. Friends can be important too. Friends can not help you as well as your family could but they could do a good job on giving you advice. When you have the friends that you have you want them to be away from bad or illegal things. You want them to be nice and non-offenders to the law because they could bring you into becoming what they are.
