Hi! I just can't wait until you arrive here. I'm so excited that I prepared this wall for you to see some interesting places you can visit, they are: Iquique, Valdivia and Chiloe. I enclose some information about them below. I hope you like it! xoxo, Mary.
IQUIQUE This awesome and energetic city is located at the north of chile in the tarapaca region. This city is known for its beautiful beaches and great climate. The main activities you can enjoy here are: surfing, shopping, sun-bathing and an incredible marine show in which you can have an amazing time. On the cultural side, Iquique has a mining background which can be appreciated in Humberstone, a village where you can see the miner lifestyle of the 20th century.
CHILOE This is a gorgeous archipelago located in the south of our country in Los Lagos region. It is well known for its magnificent green landscapes that will make you breathless. It has a very rich floklore consisting in a great variety of myths and legends. Chiloe's architecture is quite remarkable because of its wooden churches and chapels which have maintain intact throughout the years.

TRANSPORT To get to Chile I would recommend you to come by plane because it's faster and if you check your airline's website you may get very good prices. You will have to fly to Madrid first and then you will have a 13-hour flight to Santiago, our capital city. From there, you can get to the three places I metioned by plane too. An airline I would highly recommend is: *Lan Airlane (www.lan.com) Phone: 00-56-294662 Then to move around your selected city you should rent a car so you can go wherever you want freely. *Rent a Car (www.rentcar.cl) phone: 00-56-781946
PUERTO VARAS This city as Chiloe, is located at the south of our long country, in Los Lagos region. This city has a cold weather which can be beared with a good woolen hat. As this city was conquered but Germans, it has a huge German influence, which can be appreciated in the outsanding bakery they have which combines chilean berries and fruits with German techniques, JUST DELICIOUS!!
ACOMMODATION I've searched some wonderful hotel options so you can be comfortable and close to some typical attractiones of every city: *Iquique GAVINA HOTEL (www.hotelgavina.com) phone: 00-56-957845 *Puerto Varas BELLAVISTA HOTEL (www.hotelbellavista.cl) phone:00-56-232011 *Chiloe BLUE GALEON HOTEL (www.bluegaleon.cl) phone: 00-56-984514
CLOTHES Chile's typical clothes depend on the zone, but the most recognizeable outfits are the "huaso" and "china" outfits.
TIPS -Be careful with your money because thieves usually steal tourists. -You must keep a wind breaker and a woolen hat in your backpack because chilean weather is very unpredictable, specially in the south. -If you want to have a great and inexpensive meal, ask your hotel receptionist for "picadas". These are places which doesn't appear in tourist guides but are very good. -Remember that in Chile the currency is Chilean pesos and that not many places receive dollars or pounds, so you must change some money as soon as you get here.
