In this Poe story it relates a fantastic history of a man of great heart that had a great love by the animals. It took a happy life but because of the alcohol transtornó becoming very aggressive in special with its mascot, a totally black cat, that in one of its attacks of wrath I leave tuerto it and in other finally it hung it. Time later another cat of characteristic similars was in the way and encariño with him and took it house to its, its wife encariño with since also it needed an eye, but this unlike the other it had a small white spot in its chest. With time it could appreciate that the spot had gift form which caused its hatred to him. In a oprtunidad that the cat almost makes fall she tries to assassinate it with an axe and her wife stops reason why the assassin. She decides to hide the corpse emparedando it in the cellar of the house. Four days later resquisa arrives one that feels the maullido one of the cat behind the wall, reason why they collapse it and they find the corpse of the wife next to the black cat.
