INPUT DEVICES For disabled people with problems of dexterity many devices have been invented to help them if they cannot use the keyboard and mouse.
Dexterity Impairment
Special keyboards are designed to fullfill specific functions, for example making them smaller or changing the layout to reduce the amount of mevoment needed to reach the different keys,.
Many different types of pointing devices are produced like joystics, touchpads and trackerballs, that can all be used without moving the hand as much as is necessary to use the mouse
For those that cannot use any type of keyboard or pointing device, there are also switches (can be used by any part of the body) head mice (pointing device controlled by the brain) or voice regocnition (speech commands follwed by the computer)
OUTPUT DEVICES For those with dexterity impairment, output is usually not much of a problem since they can see the monitor and printouts and hear the speaker, any output devices that are supposed to be used through touch are very rare.
