Ancient Greek Technology! By: Maud Streett
Some things the Ancient Greeks invented were air and water machines. Ctesibius who was a Greek Alexandrian invented many of these inventions. Including a water organ, water clock, an armonion, and a piston pub. Some of these were used for music which was quite popular back then. One other is used to pump water.
Cranes were first invented in Ancient Greece. They were invented in the fifth century B.C. After that, buildings were much more stable and sturdy. They even looked nicer too.
Many of the machines we use now in the US were originally made in Greece. Some examples of these are cranes, steam engines, water pumps, and screws. If we didn't have any of these, are lives would be much different.
A talo was a fully operated robot which helped protect Crete. If intruders came, it could kill them with its amazing strength or it could burn them with its hot boiling breath. It also helped with touring Crete because it could tour Crete three times in one day!
