Jesse Fitzgerald
MISCHIEVOUS
PUNCTILIOUS
INTELLIGENT
LONELY
LOOKS Jesse is an 18 year old male. I believe he is tall and lanky. He doesn't care much about his appearance. His hair and clothes are probably always disheveled. However, when cleaned up, he is probably a decent looking young man.
ACTIONS Jesse is very destructive, but also quite intelligent.. He makes his own alcohol, smokes marajuina, and he also likes to light things on fire. He acts out because he's never gotten the attention he deserves. However, Jesse can also be very loving and caring as well.
FEARS I thik Jesse fears dying alone. He states that he doesn't care, and has even toyed with suicide but I truly think he does care. He is very alone in this novel, and I think he fears being this way his whole life. I believe he thinks he will always be invisible.
OTHER CHARACTER REACTIONS The other characters really don't react to Jesse - which is the problem. Jesse is pretty much invisible in the book. Everyone is too busy to even notice or care that he is committing crimes. Anna thinks he is brillant though and Kate has her own special bond with Jesse. His parents act as if they never had a son up until the end of the book.
PLOT REACTION I think he believes that what Anna is doing is good. I don't think he wants to lose Kate - but he firmly believes everyone in the family should have the ability to have a say in major decisions - especially ones that involve thier own body. He loves his sisters and just wnats what is best for them.

QUOTE Anna is the only proof I have that I was born into this family , instead of dropped off by some Bonnie and Clyde couple that ran into the night. On the surface, we're polar opposites. Under the skin, though, we're the same: people think they know what they are getting, and they're always wrong.
