Lesson Essential Question: What are the characteristics of various Native American cultures of different geographic regions.
Unit Essential Questions: How are Native American cultures different in various regions of the United States? Who are the first inhabitants in North America?
Assessments: I will informallu assess their portfolio'sand class participation. I will be formally assessing them on worsheets, quiz and group presentation.
Small Groups Lesson 1- the gifted students will do extra research and reprot on Native American Art. The ESE and ESOL students will do extra research on the basic topics, using books and guided by me. Lesson 2- the gifed students will have additional words to look up and add to group report. The ESE and ESOL students will play a matching game to match the tribes to the region they inhbited.
