Don't go on a virtual world unless you are old enough to understand the risks and take the responsibility if something happens. Never let your kids have unwatched internet access. Don't go onto a virtual world website and be careful what you do online.

Make sure you and your friends know how to use the websites before you go on them. You need to know the rules and how to keep yourself safe. Know who people really are before you add them as your friend because then they could have access to your personal information. Never give out your personal information or post it on your page.
Tips for Adults
Parents need to always stay involved in their child's life. If you see that your kid is getting very dependent on the internet it is a red flag that you need to check up on them. Always know what website your child is using and know how to use it. Make sure you set a good example for your kids and use the internet appropriately, too.
