Daisy and Gatsby
Gatsby and Daisy fell in love even though that Gatsby wasn't rich, and was getting ready to go off to war. Daisy decided that she couldn't wait for him and that she didn't want to be lonely. She ended up falling in love with Tom and creating the American Dream with him instead of Gatsby, like she had originally wanted. Five years later Gatsby and Daisy reunite. Gatsby has loved her the whole time they were apart even though Daisy didn't love him back. Gatsby created up lies that he had Old Money, even though he didn't, just to try and win her back. He had wanted to invite her over for the longest time and was scared to because he didnt know how she would think or react to him. When he finally gets enough nerves together, he invites her to come over, and she does. Thats when everything begins to get confusing. Daisy doesn't know what she wants anymore, Tom or Gatsby.
