A wooden stick is a stick made purely out of wood. A composite stick is a stick that is usually made out of fiber glass, and it is hollow. The only part that isn't hollow is the blade, and the butt. The butt is the part at the top of the stick, which makes the stick legal to play with. It helps you with comfortablity of the length of the stick. The reason it took shorter time with the composite stick is because the composite stick is lighter than the wooden stick. Not only is it lighter, but it is also easier to flex and give power to.
In conclusion the average velocity of a wooden stick for me is 11.11 feet per second. The average velocity of a composite stick for me is 13.86 feet per second.
