Wooden Stick
DATA
In order to do an experiment with ice hockey sticks, you need two different kinds, which would be a wooden stick or a composite stick. First I used the Wooden stick and stood at the blue line. I shot a puck into the net and timed it, which took 5.3 seconds to get from the blue line to inside the net sliding across the ice. The distance from each goal line to the nearest blue line is 56 Feet. Then i did the same thing 4 more times using the same amount of power i did the first time. The next 4 results were 4.9 sec., 5.1 sec., 4.8 sec., and 5.1 seconds. The average time that it took to hit the puck with a wooden stick from the blue line to inside the net is 5.04 seconds. Then I did it with the composite stick 5 times at the same spot and power used with the wooden stick. The times were 3.9 sec., 4.1 sec., 4.3 sec., 4.0 sec., and 3.9 sec.. The average time that it took to hit the puck with a composite stick from the blue line to inside the net is 4.04 seconds.
