Do you think that the use of cell phones during school should be allowed???
Cell phones should be allowed during study hall, homeroom. and study hall. This is a free time and students should be allowed to use their time the way they want to spend their time. it is the students choice wheather or not they want to pay attention, so if they fail they fail, its their own fault.
Disciplinary action: Electronics used or possessed in violation od the rules will be subjected to confiscation. Confiscated items will be secured in the main offive and may be retrieved at the end of the day.Chronic issues will be considered insubordination and will recieve elevated consequences.Parents may be asked to pick up the confiscated itemfor frequent offenders.Student refusal to give unautohorized electronics to a staff member will be given In school suspension or other appropriate consequences.
Student Handbook states Cell phones and pagers are not permitted in school between7:36 and 2:24. Parents who need to contact therir child during the day should call the main office.Students may use the main office phone to call their parents as needed
Cell phones are helpful at times!
Cell phones can be used for a parent trying to reach their student during school incase of an emergency or if plans have changed. With the parent being able to contact the student directly will reduce the number of phone calls that the office gets.
Consequences that are put in place for the use of cell phones are unfair! a teacher shouldn't be allowed to take your phone away, it is the students poperty and does not belong to them. And having the students parent come in to get the phone the second time it is taken away, what parent is going to want to come in and waste their time to get it. especially with gas prices rising, it;s RIDICULOUS!
