CHRISTIANITY
FOUNDER OF CHRISTIANITY Jesus of Nazareth, also known as Christ, was a great man and teacher who founded Christianty. Jesus of Nazareth was a Jewish carpenter born to Mary and Joseph in Bethleham. Jesus Christ taught that above all others God should be the most loved by all people, and people should equally love themselves and others. Jesus also taught that you should love your enemies, and pray for them just as you do for your loved ones, and share becuase you want to, not because it's something you are forced to do or something you should do. After spreading his beliefs Jesus's message was a threat to the Romans, hence they crucified him. By belief, he rose from the dead three days later and ascended into heaven. This, to those who were known as his follows, is the evidence in which Jesus is the Mesiah, or the Savior.
NICENE CREED We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
BASIC CORE BELIEFS Some of the core beliefs of Christianity are that God is made up of three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Chritians believe that Jesus's resurrection was proof that he was the Savior of mankin, or Mesiah, that was sent by God. Christians believe that just like in other religions you should not commit sins, or "anything that seperates you from God." Althought they also believe that the penalty of commiting sins is death. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only way, truth, and life. They also believe that everything that is seen as well as unseen was created by God. Christians have got many beliefs but one of the core beliefs is that there is only one eternal God.
THE HOLY BOOK-THE BIBLE The Bible is the Holy Book for the Christians, telling of their history starting from around 1450 B.C. to around 100 A.D. It is divided into two categories: the Old Testement and the New Testement. The Old Testement consists of Hebrew scriptures and of the history of Christianity before Jesus' birth. The New Testement holds the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, four of Jesus' twelve original apostles.
