Six Day War(1967) ~Fought by Israel and 5 Arab Nations. Israel won and took the land.
Arab-Israeli war (1948) Israel was attacked by 5 Arab nations immediately after declaring independence in 1947.
Balfour Decloration 1917 -Declared British support for an independent Jewish homeland.
Mandate system 1917-1947
U.N Partition Plan (947) Since the British thought the mandate ungovernable, they turned the land over to the U.N who split the land between the Jews and Arabs.
Camp David Accords 1979 The result of the Yom Kippur war in 1973. Leaders included Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin.
The Oslo Accords (1993) This made it possible for Israelis and Palestinians to work toward a two state option.
