Plant- Like Protist By: Federico Piriz
Some characteristics that plant- like protist, (Algae) share with plants is that both Plants and Algae are autotrophs. Both algae and plants get their food from a process called ''Photosynthesis''. They got the energy from the sun and convert it into food

Algae has a wide variety of pigments, (Chemicals that produce color). Their pigment can be green, yellow, red, brown, orange, or even black.
Algae have different ways to move. One of them is with there flagellum, a whip like tail. Another way is oozing slime out of slits out of slits in their cell walls.
Their are many common names for algae. Eugleniods, Dinoflagellates, Diatoms, Green Algae, Red Algae, and Brown Algae.
Algae are unicellular, and some are multicellular.
Red Algae cause algae bloom!
