I dedicate this to Madi, so she will know more about it. Allergy Tests An allergy test is practically painless. You go to your allergist and he or/ she will have your test ready for you. What happens is this; the allergist has small 4x4 prickers dipped in a liquified version of each allergy you are tested for. The pricker is kind of like the one they prick your finger with. The second day you go you will have to put numbing cream on your back because they have to give you a stronger dose just to make sure. This time sometimes they have mini shots, but you can't feel them because your back is numb. A positive reaction is when the area tested swells up. On a scale from 0 to 4 your allergies are rated. 0=not allergic 1=a mild allergy mainly sniffles 2= sneezing and rashes are the only symptoms 3=hives, coughing,sneezing 4=mainly food allergies are like this. you will have some of theese symptoms: losing conciousness coughing choking hives swelling migranes hallucinating vomiting This is the most severe allergy.It can prove fatal in some cases.
